For Kids

Prevention - Turn your Hindsight into Foresight

Parenting is trying to keep your child safe, prevent them from making the same mistakes you made and giving them the best possible start you can.

Safeguarding musculoskeletal health is just as important as the food you feed them. It’s not just as simple as getting them to exercise regularly.

We are passionate about preserving, educating and enhancing children’s musculoskeletal health. Book an appointment to start your child on a lifelong path they’ll thank you for.

Injury Management

No child should experience ongoing pain in muscles or joints. This is their body telling them something is overloaded. Mothers themselves and having worked extensively in the elite areas of Premiership Rugby, England Diving, International Basketball, England Rowing, International Tennis, Gymnastics, Golf and Cricket academies, Nats and Nicki have seen the full spectrum of overuse, training or traumatic injuries.

With us, your child will instantly feel at ease with the solution quickly identified.

Juvenile Arthritis, Hypermobility, Ehlers- Danlos Syndrome,

Severs, Osgood- Schlatter’s, Perthes, Gut issues

Orthopaedic and Rheumatological conditions need musculoskeletal education. Correct management is paramount to a Child’s physical future and can be resolved or improved greatly if guided correctly.

Anxious or digestive disordered guts also benefit from Physiotherapy. It can help relieve symptoms and empower or provide helpful strategies for the child. Please Contact Us to discuss individual situations.

There is NO SUCH THING as an un-sporty child!

The common reference to children as ‘Sporty’ or ‘Un-sporty’ is one that REALLY grates. Co-ordination, speed, agility and quickness are all dependent on the growth rate and synapses of a Child’s nervous system. These all grow at different rates as the body develops and a Child’s nervous system does not finish developing until they are about 23 years old.

If you are worried about your child or find your child shies away from sport, it more often has a lot to do with their emotional experience and neural capability when they first tried something. No one likes to fail or be overlooked, and unfortunately all too often this is a child’s experience at school.

At Nicki’s Physio we bring on the nervous system and give the child an extra boost in confidence and ability. Please feel free to Contact Us to discuss individual situations and learn how we can help.
